Panic!: Brendon was very excited about football; Spencer continues his Silent Bob impression.
Related news: Per Zack's twitter, the three of them apparently had dinner with Ryan!! We were not, however, granted a reprise of The Picture (Now With Spencer). The picture we did get was of a horribly tacky novelty item involving a pun on the name of Martin Luther King Jr. I am unsure what, if any, information should be inferred from it. I'm currently leaning towards "none, also, ew."
Ryan: Addendum to last week: TBone and Dingus have their own Twitter account; suspect they may be Ryan and Nick1 in disguise, much as I suspect Ponytailgroovin is Greenwald in disguise. They're not quite imaginary friends, more like . . . alter egos. Sock puppets, possibly.
Meanwhile, this week, he: may have visited Compton Avenue (or at least quoted someone who was there); was sort of grumpy about people talking shit and Los Angelenos always looking bummed out; observed that you had arrived if phones auto-capitalized your name (his last one: Orbison, and I am endlessly intrigued by his apparent fascination with Roy Orbison which I sometimes do wonder if it is musical or personal style or what); noted that sometimes you just have to drive too fast through the canyon, crankily informed us he didn't get in a wreck, people just want him dead (?!) (Ryan Rossy, what is going on??)(I'm not sure if that was ribs related, as in, if people were asking if he had broken his ribs in a car wreck, or further grumbling about possible rumors of his death (I haven't seen any, doesn't mean they aren't out there) or just . . . a reflection of general ill will directed at him. Also, death and faking death, is something he (and Greenwald) talk about a fair amount); enjoyed Scott Pilgrim (movie) in general and Tenneessee Thomas' performance in it in particular, and was pleased at least one person saw their taxi TV ads.
Jon: Came back long enough to change his picture and his location (now: CHICAGO, caps his) and also to monosyllabically thank the Internets for their birthday wishes.
Andy: Told us not to be jealous, but he got himself a "real purdy gem." I read that and thought Er? and that's pretty much all I have to saw now, too. Could be real jewelry, could be video game jewelry, I have no idea. It's pretty, he likes it, that's the best I can do.
Nick: Told the Black Rabbits to crash his room any time; wished a fan a happy birthday with a tweet and also a video of people singing "happy Birthday" to a deeply unimpressed cat wearing a tie; wished he could had connections to get into the Hollywood Bowl for the Phoenix show (now more convinced then ever that "phoenix afterparty" is some sort of euphamism/code that Ryan and Alex use for other sorts of shenanigans and/or boring parties); was excited for the new Freddy Mercury movie; appreciated the new Crocodiles record; illustrated his return to the 9-5 life with a video of the French Bulldog death yodel; assured us that of course the TYV break up rumors weren't true, though, now that I look at it again, he has since deleted that tweet, though not the one expressing puzzlement as to how the rumors even got started; observed that The Situation has a quarter-million Twitter followers; shared a link to a video for kaleidascope - dream for julie directing us to the 1:30 mark; and shared a picture of their merch dude dressed like a cowboy.
The Like: Played the Inverted World and the the Old Queen's Head, and then Z concluded the tour by falling down some stairs and cutting her chin open, needing seven (!) stitches. She shared pictures of the stitching process AND the final closed cut which, YIKES, and also wryly noted her eye make-up had survived the escapade intact. Someone heard "Walk of Shame" in TopShop; they shared a before-fall picture of Z with a stylized cartoon of, I think, Twiggy, and Z rt'd a fan drawing of a stylized "baby" Z with a big bow on her head, noting that it was awesome but the artist had forgotten to include her injured chin.
