NB: The band Twitter (@theyoungveins) appears to be active now, though the only updates so far are a) Nick Murray joining the band (I'm taking that as official confirmation) and b) a collective New Year's wish. The profile and icon are still Twitter-generic, and they aren't following individual members of the band, so it may just be something of a placeholder.

Also: This edition is somewhat thin as the last one was, well, four days ago. Still, I wanted to get back on schedule.

Ryan: Confessed that he still can't tie a bow-tie even after spending an hour on YouTube trying to learn; retweeted The Like's (Z's?) resolution to make 2010 her bitch with the puzzling addition of "thanks"; shared a funny/puzzling parking lot sign; may have watched Thelma & Louise, and discussed the merits of combined Bollywood dance numbers and double suicides as ending for movies with Zack.

This is tangential, but Zack also twitpic'ed Ryan a photograph of himself in the A rosevest, which, judging by Ryan's terrible hair and stripy vest/cowboy scarf combo in the picture, was taken somewhere around the Honda Civic tour -- WELL after it was meant to have been lost which was funny.

Jon: May have been watching Man vs. Wild, with Bear Grylls.

Nick: Noted the passing of Rowland S. Howard; wished us all a happy blue moon & new year; mentioned he was looking forward to Daybreakers (vampire movie w/ Willem Dafoe); shared songs by Flavor Flav & Dean & Jean, mentioned a Harry Nilsson record and then deleted the tweet (I'm keeping it anyway); and finally shared a link to an adorable YouTube video of a man living with a fox in England. Also he changed his icon to a picture that may or may not be himself with a dog.

Andy: No substantive updates, but he did wish us all a happy new year. Also recently (i.e. w/in the last month) changed his icon from his face to a picture of a Japanese sculpture.

That definitely wasn't the real rosevest. I'm thinking it was probably a fan-made facsimile that they decided to have some fun with.

Yes, I agree. The real rosevest had way more flowers and corset-y stuff on it.

heh, my first thought -- after HEY -- was that the boning didn't look sturdy enough for corsetry. That'll teach me to trust my instincts!

Anyway, have amended the post -- I never saw THE rosevest live & in person (sadly!) so I didn't recognize the imposter. I wonder how many of THOSE they've gotten over the years.

ja, I have seen the picture there, I'm just not familiar enough (yet) with his face to recognize him at that angle. It's a cute picture, whoever it is!
