The bulk of this week's communications were about his impending move and/or going away party at Angels & Kings; other topics: a link to a parody "tourist" video for his hometown of Geneva, NY; being in the studio with DeJesus; and the passing of DJ AM.
The video (hXXp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThvlOTFKxWY) is apparently a commercial for the Not Yet Rated show, created in Central/Upstate New York, and if you ever wanted to see the New York that Travie comes from: watch this video. The joke -- that anyone would special trip up there -- is a sharp one, underscored by the images of post-industrially depressed landscape and generalized grinding decline. The fleeting image of the dead fish on the shores of the lake kind of says it all.
In terms of art, he shared a picture of a new Hall & Oates painting, but that was it. There were no musical or movie selections this week.
