Brendon: Has started the Insanity workout (if his poochy belly vanishes I will be sad); promoted the new Versa Emerge record; ate some delicious pancakes; was reunited with his guitars; and wished his puppy a happy birthday.

Spencer: Got a bag of fancy drum sticks (drumming devices? they are not all stick-like, after all) in the mail from Promark.





Ryan: Went to the Chicago aquarium with Michael Runion, shared picture of jellyfish; lost a game of Monopoly; briefly addressed FYE signed insert snafu; promoted The Like's record release party; the band did a Daytrotter session, later he got tea all over his elbow; was excited by the arrival of his copy of Winnebago Man; shared a picture of Z Berg holding records by both of their bands (also during this period, both of them referred to each other as bf and/or gf in interviews); guest-blogged about Bonnaroo; did a whole bunch of tour-related press; wished Paul McCartney a happy birthday; was opaquely cranky about someone not tweeting something to his face; was sarcastically baffled by Segways and impressed by a band of 15 year olds; promoted Jenny Lewis' new record with Johnathan Rice (I listened to the one song they have up. Verdict: Pretty but dull.); encouraged everyone to form Team The Young Veins rather than Team Edward or Jacob (oh Ryan Rossy, we're way ahead of you there); announced that Capetown will be played during the World Cup (!!!!!!); bought a (very rusty) car (it has fins!); possibly lost his wallet, or was at least trolled by Zack about losing a wallet; was mistaken for a someone's child at Subway; and RT'd Dan Snowfreak's prank-calling commentary which incorporated the "Houston, we have a problem" phrase. (I guess they got Dan in the divorce? From D's twitter it looks like he's on tour with them right now.)

Jon: Shared a picture of his cat; meditated on the possibly creepiness of Santa Claus; commenced his and Will Noon's quest for the Best Mexican Food ever in San Diego, with a rec from Than Luu; commented on the FYE snafu; "Played air hockey, went swimming, got a new pedal, headphone guitar amp for the van, clip for keys and a smoothie" all before Anaheim show; called radio stations to promote tour and was ignored (:(), made sly crack referring Pete Wentz's Twitter-quitting (that was not really quitting) FOB and everyone else (Ashlee, Mark Hoppus) subsequently tweet that they were also quitting FOB; shared a picture of headphones and people fishing on a pier; also shared pictures of: a dog; Rooney playing; a sunset; some trees; Will Noon looking thoughtful; Ryan in bed with the TV remote and, possibly, Andy Soukal; Dan Snowfreak with some gulls; and his own feet; asked us what we want to be when we grow up and what being "famous" means to us; missed out on a heavy storm in Chicago; and RT'd David Lynch re: being connected to the moon. Nick : Ate too much popcorn playing monopoly; quoted Captain Beefheart; had a picture in Windsome magazine (it's -- kind of not that great?); shared a link to articles about Internet "kill switch" and a violent incident in Echo Park, and mentioned two other disturbing LA news stories (even on tour, he reads the paper!); promoted a friends desire to be an MTV Tweet-Jay (OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL); shared a picture of a stage and a guitar signed by all four Beatles; shared another baby sloths video, the fact that people using cell phones at the dinner table is his biggest pet peeve, and El Metate is "the best fish taco I've ever eaten", and a Crystal Clear Pepsi commercial; thanked fans for bracelets and promised to wear them until they fall off; and finally his iPod ate his music collection. Andy : Commented in appreciation of his grandfather (it read like he'd died, to me, :(); also appreciated Frencesa's, in St. Charles; shared some footage from Bonnaroo; asked the internet if it had any good gossip (*facepalm*); shared a picture if Ryan and Than at the beach in San Diego; commented that he would kick ass on MTV's "Next" (oh god it's a dating show. NO, ANDY, FTLOG, NO - oh wait it isn't making new episodes, phew); and was excited to play various shows.





Travie was excited about the World Cup; posted his summer tour dates (with Ke$ha and Rihanna!!); played the Tonight Show w/ Bruno Mars; went to Monaco (?!); shared a picture of a mixed media painting he did (Tall Tales & Entrails, does what it says on the tin); shared a video of young Bruno Mars singing Elvis (awwwwww); informed the internet that he would NOT be in San Bernadino anytime soon & someone was using his name falsely to promote a party (>:(); was briefly a trending topic, much to his surprise; went on Jimmy Fallon; MySpace followed him around for 24 hours with a video camera; he expressed his appreciation for Mitch Hedburg; and was not impressed by the new Karate Kid movie.

he is skinny, it's true, but mostly he's been a skinny boy with a not-quite-flat, soft belly. It was at its poochiest at his 21st, I think; I'm thinking of that picture of the four of them (or maybe five) where he was the only one with his shirt off.
