Andy: Lost his Spinal Tap VHS tape (?!); attended a Republic of Lights record release show, where Suns were also playing (RoL is his old band, Suns are apparently friends) and had a rough day, got a cold and needed soup.

Nick: You know what Nick Murray loves? HALLOWEEN. Also, Halloween and horror movies and videos. Mentioned or linked: Tim Curry in The Worst Witch (YouTube); Halloween Punch (YouTube); Joe Dante's MANT! part 1 (YouTube); The Curse of the Werewolf; 100 kills / final destination 2; Night of the Creeps, Monster Squad, Black Sunday, Night of the Living Dead; and also Footloose (1984) Kevin Bacon dance in the fast food with shalamar (YouTube) in the context of hoping his Halloween would be like that just with more werewolf masks, booze and fog machines, and finally, Oh My God! Nick Murray is DEDICATED to sp00ky, creepy, slimy and scary motion, you guys. And I totally, totally love him for it.

Also discussed the general decline of Western civilization; that "Social services, dmv, and cubicles, these are not places human beings are meant to spend time in"; looked for cheap/free things to do in LA; had a moment of clarity at very early in the morning; various promotional tweets for the new Black Apples record and some shows; shared the TYV Daytrotter link; supported the movement to save CA's state parks; quoted a reality TV line about needing sleep; shared a link to This Is How Michael Caine Speaks - The Trip - BBC Two (YouTube) and also La Sera - Never Come Around (YouTube);

wanted to be underwater; was unimpressed with The Beatles iTunes debut; encouraged us to opt-out of the new airport scanners; was sick and annoyed by construction; lost his voice and was subjected to Chris Cornell's new record as a result; conducted a Food Experiment and made a magnificent Thanksgiving Cake out of mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey, sweet potatoes and stuffing; and thoroughly enjoyed his birthday (Nov. 29).

So, he: shared an actually terrifying video that Vicky-T inflicted upon him; had some conversations with Brendon; also did some Halloween stuff (haunted Hayride in Griffith Park, with Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, of all people); either expressed his cluelessness about pussywillows or heard someone else doing so; washed his hair with bubblebath; was Atreyu (Neverending Story) for Halloween (Z was The Childlike Empress!); later informed the internet that his plans for the day were "I'm gonna feed you, rip off those jeans, and take you to the hospital" (?!); was possibly sarcastic being interested in the fortunes of the (I'm assuming, since he didn't specify)) San Francisco Giants (baseball); asked Greenwald if he (Greenwald) thought it was weird that he (Greenwald) sang like the guy from Spin Doctors (no he does not, Ryan); appreciated Michael Ian Black's tweets about George Lopez; hung out with the Bad Rabbits;

announced that from now on he would go by "Dingus Khan", a nickname bestowed by a friend who I think might be also known as Benjamin Font; shared a picture of a "remix" knob; RT'd Nick Murray promoting the Black Apples; told a different friend he (Ryan) wished he (the friend) would wear bell bottoms all the time; discovered he loved reality TV; rediscovered his love for hockey; told Benjamin Font to stop being emo it was making him sad (STILL HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS, YOU GUYS); clarified that by "reality tv" he meant Billy the Exterminator and Ancient Aliens; commiserated with HarMarSuperStar about daylight savings time totally eliminating sunlight from his day; apparently researched the secret photos of serial killers;

discussed malls with a friend; quoted Z comparing herself to Tupac; was surprised he was a trending topic, shared a picture of himself and a friend in hockey gear; expressed his distaste for the Facebook sound; appreciated apple juice; sneezed so hard he lost his sunglasses; was excited about the Beatles being on iTunes and "boomshakalaka" being a trending topic; appreciated Shane and Dallon's Doritos commercial; reposted the Daytrotter link; combined a reference to Saber Toothed cats and (I'm guessing) Tish Cyrus (as in, the ultimate cougar, maybe? It was around the time the news of her possible affair with Bret Michaels was in the headlines);

waffled about ordering pizza the day before Thanksgiving; was pleased the Deluxe Package postcards were getting to people; had a great many FEELINGS about soup, sandwiches and fast food (he doesn't like Subway, or McDonalds); invited a friend to join himself and Greenwald in having soup & sandwiches and watching TV in bed (I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP, Y'ALL); said something about not doing shots and compared a girl to Brendon Fraser in Encino Man; narrowly avoided spoiling his dinner with pretzels; and was kind of grumpy about other people not appreciating Change.

They: Noted the passing of Ari Up (The Slits); announced they were appearing on 90210; were apparently recording in London for a week; shared more Kate Spade pop-up links and also a picture of Z at the Haunted Hayride; Z hurt herself making her Halloween costume and Tennessee was distressed to learn of it over Twitter; Z was the Childlike Empress (Neverending Story; Ryan was Atreyu) for Halloween; shared a link to a picture of someone else dressed as Z for Halloween, including the guitar and also some fan-art, in which they were rendered Sims-style; organized their YouTube channel (i.e. favorited a lot of fan videos of performances); shared a link to something called Club Da Doo Ron Ron (it's in England) and a picture of what might have been Martha Reeves and the Vandellas in a car in Detroit; were excited to jam on each others instruments and said the next record may sound like The Shaggs II; appreciated Keith Richards' book; had two songs in The Next Three Days (movie); appeared on DJ Rossstar's Punk Rock Show; played a Part Time Punks show; and wished us a Happy Thanksgiving with a clip from an Addams Family movie.
